We received our first official award from the Honolulu International Film Festival a while back. Sometimes, you have to wait a while before they send the laurels out.
Ahem… So… I didn’t know they called them laurels until about a year go. I just called them Leafy Things. I’m not sure if that’s common among independent filmmakers.
Is it common knowledge and I’m just an idiot?
Regardless, I knew what they were called before Playing Through got it’s first by being an official selection of Cinefest in Sudbury. That’s all that matters.
Here is the 3rd of 5 our short film can now display proudly. (We are still waiting for the other two.)
