I have a confession to make… I knew this information in August.
We were originally supposed to film this movie in September but it was pushed to 2010.
Now with production heating up and rehearsals and make-up tests around the corner, it’s finally time to unveil our talented cast.
The Climb centers on Cameron and Destiny and their struggles on the streets. While Destiny lost all hope long ago, Cameron holds to his belief that he will find a way to change things
Even though I wrote the script years ago, I still had a good handle on the type of actors I wanted to play the two leads. I’m extremely fortunate to have worked with these two amazing actors before and I’m pumped to be working with them again.
Michael Clarke was the first person who auditioned for Playing Through. He read for both roles and we knew instantly he was going to get one of them. In the end, he fit perfectly as Brandon in the movie and did an amazing job. I’ve since realized that he can easily transform himself to fit any role he takes on and I couldn’t be happier to have him on board to play Cameron. Cameron has gone through a lot yet remains hopeful that he can better his unfortunate circumstances. Michael is perfect for the role.
Alyssa LaPlume just won’t stop being in our movies. In addition to playing a supporting role in 2009′s Playing Through, she also starred in 4 Stops, Surface, Tactics and a few others that Eric directed over the years. She’ll be playing the part of Destiny, a lonely and bitter woman living on the streets with a face covered in tattoos. It’s hard to imagine given the picture above but Alyssa will definitely pull it off.
Did I mention I can’t wait to make this movie!
