Alright… so a lot has been going on lately with the flick.
Jason and Eric came up to Sudbury from Toronto and we had a 4 hour long meeting ironing out details and getting the ball rolling.
We’ve determined a plan of attack including a shoot date of august, a shooting style, budget, and what most exciting to me is that we spent a good amount of time working on the story and tweaking a few things.

We also made some decisions on the cast which we are very very excited about. I can’t say enough about the artists we’ve chosen, I don’t think we could have ended up with a more talented group of individuals. Paul Disalle will be taking on the lead male role and Jennifer Plummer will be our lead female.

The greatest thing about these two is that after the auditions, once we decided that we wanted these two, we found out that they are actually good friends who jam together frequently. Both Paul and Jennifer are well known in Sudbury and play local venues often. They have both released a studio album and are currently working on new music. I actually spoke to both of them today and they’re both as excited as we are about the project.
Talents like Paul and Jennifer are exactly why I wanted to make a film like this. Too many times I see an artist at a show and I think “I wish I could share this experience with more people”. My goal with this film is to open peoples eyes to new music, new styles, new artists they may not have known and at the same time maybe strike some chords with the story a broken relationship and how the couple find closure in their music.
So now the game plan is to get a little more serious as far as filling holes… Over the coming weeks we’ll be filling crew positions and tweaking the music and lyrics from the songs we’ve chosen. We’ll also continue the search for the few songs we still need for certain moments in the film.
More updates are on the way!
