THE CLIMB: Final Location Scouts

The Climb Short Film Toronto

A few days ago, Eric and I went out to make sure the locations we plan on filming at night will have enough light to allow it. We don’t have a budget at all let alone enough money for lights so it was important to make sure.

It’s a good thing we checked.

3 out of 4 locations wouldn’t have worked had we just shown up without double checking. This led us to creatively change where the selected scenes would be set. Ironically each location change and time we altered made the movie better.

Dominika, our director of photography got a look at our locations yesterday and we went over more of the look and style of the film.

It was pretty great to be on set talking about camera movement and framing again. I can’t believe the shoot is so close!

We basically went over everything we could think of in an effort to make the shoot as smooth as possible.

Hopefully this type of positive momentum continues. However, we’ve prepared enough to overcome any random challenges we may encounter.

Bring it on…
