(10/10)
After months of speculation and hype, Inception finally arrived and easily went beyond my enormous expectations and delivered an incredible experience.
Movies like Inception are the reason we love going to the movies!
It was the most original and interesting film I’ve seen in years. Not since The Matrix have I seen a movie so intelligent yet filled with action and thrills.
It’s an amazing achievement to create something so complicated in a way that fascinates the audience so well. It will definitely mess with your mind but your heart will be racing as you witness the incredible visuals. Once your mind catches up you’ll be consumed by how detailed the story is.
I definitely have to see it again SOON.
I don’t even want to delve into all the surprises that Inception has because everyone should experience this film without any knowledge of the mind bomb about to explode in their brains.
It’s that good. From the writing to the acting to the amazing action sequences. I absolutely loved the zero gravity fight in the hotel.
I’ve never seen that before.
Christopher Nolan has done it again. The stories he comes up with and the teams he assembles to pull them off are at the top of their game right now.
Every film he has directed is filled with imagination and creativity.
It’s inspiring.
So much so that I stepped out of the theater humming the incredible score and thinking about my own screenplays.
Suddenly, I stopped dead in the middle of the sidewalk and had a breakthrough. I’ve been developing a drama for a while now and it’s been going well but not amazingly well.
Until today…
I can’t explain what happened but something that I hadn’t considered occurred to me and the story took off.
It’s like Inception blew up a damn and the water started rushing forwards again.
I rushed home and quickly opened my notebook to write down the new direction I wanted to take the story.
Development can now continue because I woke up and cracked the problems I had with the story. Everything became clear.
This is what a good movie does. It inspires.
Inception is hands down the best movie I’ve seen in 2010 and it may be the champ come January because I’m still stunned at how incredible it was. As a screenwriter, I’m always looking out for movies I can turn to when I need to feel inspired.
Add another movie to that list!

We must beer and discuss. Pronto.
Absolutely! I’m assuming you loved it as well?
Wicked movie!!!!
I went to see it last night and I was blown away. i couldn’t stop thinking about the flick till i went to bed and then i actually dreamt about it. i know… weird. lol I was absolutely blown away, i haven’t seen a movie this imaginative since the Matrix. I still can’t believe how Nolan can take such a complicated idea, multiple story lines and layers and organize them into a movie that makes sense and that, despite still being a “thinker” of a movie, is still quite easy to follow along. One of the best movie going experiences I’ve ever had, you could just hear the gears turning in the theatre and you just knew that everyone was completely immersed. Everyone had the exact same reaction at the end of the movie and when the credits were rolling, half the people were still sitting in their seats explaining and discussing. What a blast of a movie!!
