Inception Looks Cool!

Inception Poster Christopher Nolan 2010

Inception is easily my most anticipated movie of 2010.  Director Christopher Nolan has once again taken a hold of my imagination with another amazing project.  How does he keep coming up with these brilliant ideas?

Or more importantly…

What the hell is this movie about?

The first trailer reveals nothing about the story except that your mind is the scene of the crime… I don’t know what that means.

Yet the images in this incredible teaser trailer are so intriguing that it’s hard not to be excited about what Mr. Nolan and crew have in store for us this July.  This type of marketing is proof that you don’t have to show off everything to sell a movie to the public.  People like to be surprised.

The Dark Knight’s viral marketing campaign is another example of this.  It took forever to get a good look at Heath Ledger’s Joker.  It drove me crazy.

Point.  Nolan.

If the second trailer doesn’t blow your mind you need to ask yourself if you’re a film fan or not.

Here is another trailer filled with insane images, effects and style.  Yet we still don’t know what the movie is actually about.  I’ve spoken to a few people who find this frustrating but everyone still agrees that it’s one of the coolest looking movies to come along in  a while.

It’s not everyday you get this kind of hype for a non sequel.  (Cloverfield comes to mind as the last original movie that dominated my imagination like this.)

Christopher Nolan hasn’t delivered a boring film yet so you can bet I’ll be in line when this movie opens.

I can’t wait.

I may not know anything about the story but the one thing it has is a cool concept and a visionary director who knocks it out of the park every time.

Watching both previews gives me the goosebumps! Yay!

Watching the second preview made me think of the movie Stay, with Ewan MacGregor and Ryan Gosling, where the whole movie takes place in the guy’s head. I’m hoping the twist is better!
