Movies to watch on a lazy day: Man On Fire

With the release of Tony Scott’s Unstoppable starring Denzel Washington getting a lot of air time on my screen, I thought it would be great to revisit another amazing film from the legendary team.

Man On Fire

Man On Fire Movie

I was once roommates with my business partner Eric.  Both of us have fairly large DVD collections.  Man On Fire was a movie he owned that I had never seen.

Years later, I’m still borrowing that DVD on a regular basis.

Man On Fire is an awesome movie if you love revenge stories. Especially emotional revenge story.  Some people like their thrillers simpler but the connection between Denzel and Dakota Fanning’s characters make this movie great.

That’s why I think it’s a great movie to watch on a lazy day.  It’s not just an ordinary revenge story.  It’s as complex as I’ve ever seen with incredible performances.

You’ll be hooked from the beginning and stunned by the end.

If you haven’t seen Man On Fire then I’m extremely proud to have recommended it today.

Find this movie.  Watch it and enjoy your Rainy Sunday afternoon.

What!? Howard The Duck

The Athletic Nerd Movie News and Opinions

This is a terrible story because I can’t remember what I was searching for but earlier in the week, I was Googling and came across an image from Howard The Duck.

Wow!

Remember Howard The Duck?

Howard The Duck

What a strange, strange movie this was.

Even though I can only remember seeing this movie once when I was much younger, I seem to recall not liking it all that much.

However, I really want to see this movie again.  It’s probably just as terrible as ever but who knows?

Why not give an old movie a second chance?

I’m going to be keeping my eyes on the movie channels and maybe it will pop up someday.  (It’s not like I’ll be buying it.)

I just watched this trailer and wow… What was George Lucas thinking?
