My review scale is based on the overall cinematic experience I had (or wish I had) with a film.

New releases are given a score based on when you should see the movie.  Some movies are meant to be seen on the big screen but what if you knew to wait until you caught it on a free movie channel?  You might enjoy the film more when you know you haven’t spent $15-$20 dollars to see it on the big screen.

This scale obviously applies to new releases but when I review an older movie it will be based on a simple Green-Red scale with Green being the highest recommendation.
